Freight Bill Services

CMG Logistics audits, analyzes and manages the accuracy of freight charges before payment is released. Carrier invoices are audited and validated for weight, size, service level, on-time delivery, delays, address correction, reference codes, duplication, POD, dimensions, exceptions, third party billing as well as import and export fees. CMG Logistics provides shipping error reports so that future mistakes can be eliminated.

Shipment and Freight Accounting

CMG Logistics works with clients to integrate shipping costs to their defined general ledger accounts meeting enterprise accounting protocols.
  • Freight Cost Allocation – Using specialized data techniques and validation rules, G/L codes can be added for each shipment transaction. Payment-ready transaction data is fed securely to your Accounts Payable System. All data integration is encrypted for the highest levels of data security.
  • Tolerance Metrics – set tolerance rules that monitor transaction allocations facilitated by cost-center data, 3rd Party Service Level Agreements, fraudulent transactions, or freight values.
  • Exception Reporting – Notification on transactions that require review sent via email with complete details for correcting cost-center charges.
  • Customer Account Data Reports – Manage shipping expenses though analysis of coded accounting data. Monitor budgets, employee use and internal cost-saving programs. Benchmark transportation performances through variable metrics.


Electronic Freight Bill Convergence

CMG Logistics consolidates and validates carrier freight bills. Clients can view on-line invoice details and client summary. Clients can submit payment electronically reducing internal Accounts Payable expenses and processes.

Dispute Resolution

CMG Logistics’ on-line Dispute Resolution service provides clients an interactive and secure web site to review freight transactions prior to payment. Clients can view detailed images of freight documents and itemized costs. Both customers and carriers can approve, review or upload required supporting documentation.
